If you arrive by ferry from Piraeus, Mykonos, Santorini or Paros, we meet you directly at the port — a 2-minute walk from where the ferry docks. The Naxos Port is the busiest entry point to the island, with daily connections to most Cyclades.

The main coastal road from Naxos Town south to Plaka and Mikri Vigla is fully paved and easy to drive. Mountain roads to inland villages (Filoti, Apeiranthos, Halki) are narrow but paved. Some access roads to remote beaches in the south are unpaved — a small SUV is recommended for these.
Free parking is available in most villages and beaches. In Naxos Town, paid parking is available near the port and Kastro area. Avoid parking in the old town narrow streets — use the main parking lot near the Mitropoleos Square.
Several fuel stations operate in Naxos Town and along the main coastal road. Petrol is widely available, but plan ahead if you drive to remote villages — fuel stations are limited in the mountain areas.

No. Wheelso takes no security deposit and places no pre-authorisation hold — €0 is blocked on your card, for every car category and every protection package, including the zero-excess Full Protection. You only need a valid credit or debit card in the main driver's name at pick-up; it is kept on file solely in case of an excluded-event incident, as set out in our Terms.
It is a prepayment towards your rental price, not a security deposit. You pay 10% of the rental online and the remaining 90% at the counter at pick-up. Nothing extra is blocked or held on your card at any point.
