We meet you at the arrivals area with your keys ready. The airport is located 9 km south of Parikia and serves daily flights from Athens plus seasonal European routes. Average pickup time is 5 minutes.
If you arrive by ferry from Piraeus, Mykonos, Santorini or Naxos, we meet you at the port — a 3-minute walk from the ferry dock. Parikia is the busiest port in the Cyclades after Mykonos, with daily connections to most islands.
Free delivery to any hotel or villa in Parikia, Naoussa, Pounta, Aliki, Drios, Lefkes, and other main areas. For Antiparos delivery, please contact us in advance — we can coordinate the ferry crossing for you.
Main roads connecting Parikia, Naoussa, and the airport are fully paved and easy to drive. Access roads to popular beaches like Golden Beach, Kolymbithres, and Pounta are paved. Some remote southern beaches (Faragas area) have unpaved sections — a small SUV is recommended for these.
Parking inside Naoussa old town is extremely limited. Use the public parking at the village entrance and walk down — it takes 3 minutes and saves you a lot of stress, especially in July and August.
From mid-July to late August, expect heavier traffic on the Parikia–Naoussa road and around major beaches between 11:00 and 13:00 (people heading to the beach) and 17:00–19:00 (returning). Driving outside these hours is much faster.
Naoussa: 11 km · Pounta: 7 km · Golden Beach (Chrysi Akti): 17 km · Lefkes: 9 km · Aliki: 10 km · Drios: 18 km · Paros Airport: 9 km · Ferry to Antiparos (from Pounta): 7 min.
Many rural roads outside main villages have limited street lighting. Drive carefully at night, especially on the mountain road to Lefkes and the southern coast roads. Watch for goats and stray cats — they appear suddenly.
Most fuel stations are concentrated in Parikia and along the Parikia–Naoussa road. If you plan a long day in the south or a trip to Antiparos, fill up in advance.
Paros is one of the top windsurfing destinations in the Aegean, with Pounta and Golden Beach (Chrysi Akti) hosting world-class conditions in July and August. If you are bringing or renting surf gear, ask us about cars with roof racks or larger boots. We can also recommend the best timing to drive around the Pounta channel when winds peak.
No. Wheelso takes no security deposit and places no pre-authorisation hold — €0 is blocked on your card, for every car category and every protection package, including the zero-excess Full Protection. You only need a valid credit or debit card in the main driver's name at pick-up; it is kept on file solely in case of an excluded-event incident, as set out in our Terms.
It is a prepayment towards your rental price, not a security deposit. You pay 10% of the rental online and the remaining 90% at the counter at pick-up. Nothing extra is blocked or held on your card at any point.
You can pick up at Paros National Airport (PAS), Parikia Port, or get free delivery to your hotel or villa anywhere on the island.
